Team Promise Makers is rooted in the concept that positive peer pressure encourages good, high value decision making. We have all experienced peer pressure and the negative impact it can have on our decisions. Certainly Paul did—“bad company corrupts good morals” (I Corinth 15:33). If negative peer pressure promotes bad choices, the opposite would also be true. So we call on our youth to find that brother or sister or groups of brothers and sisters that will stick together during the tough times (Prov. 18:24). And trust me, there are few times tougher than 6th, 7th and 8th grades. We work with the parents to assist them and the local community to “train up the child” during these critical, developmental years and stand on the promise that they “will not depart” from that training as they mature (Prov. 22:6). We promote sound Biblical truths that lead to good decision making as these young people grow and begin to launch.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of your kids, their friends and the kids of your community.
Greg Beauchamp-Co Founder (according to Greg) and “All Around Fun” Guy
God is doing a great work through parents who have made themselves available to positively impact the lives of their kids and their kids’ friends.
Thank you for your willingness to be used by God.
Our prayer is that you will clearly see the significance of God’s work in the lives of your kids. Much of your work will never be seen. It will manifest itself years from now through your children’s families, their churches and communities. You will never see all of the fruit of your labor, but generations to come will be the beneficiaries of the hours you are pouring into the lives of young people.
DON’T FORGET WHY YOU ARE DOING THIS
Your kids are your greatest legacy. Ages 11-14 bring changes, challenges and tremendous opportunities. The decisions they make during these critical years will affect decisions they make the rest of their lives. They are developing internal core values that will be with them forever. Your investment in these years will pay dividends for a lifetime.
They are also entering a challenging time. Temptations we saw in high school and college are hitting our kids in elementary and middle schools. They do not have the maturity level to know how to avoid many of these traps and they need help. They need your help: They need frank open talk about issues they face, and practical ways to overcome those temptations. They also need a challenge. They need you to cultivate a spirit of optimism, and show them a vision of what God will do in their lives.

We are passionate parents of 4 "young girls" that want to spread the love of Christ and the message of salvation thru the middle school students. Currently we have 2 girls in the ministry and 2 that have gone thru the ministry. These preteen/teen years(11-13) are crutial to developing a strong charachter of Christ. We are encouraged by the love and interest that these students have for Christ. Being a Christ Follower in todays world can be a challenge, and we want to help equip these incredible students with the tools to be successful in showing and sharing HIM in the schools and community.
